Cape Town, Between HIV and COVID-19

Presentation by Claire Keene (Welcome Service Doctor and Project Manager at Médecins Sans Frontières, Khayelitsha, Cape Town).

Claire Keene completed a Masters in International Health and Tropical Medicine as a Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholar in 2016- 2017. Since then she has been working with Medecins Sans Frontieres in Khayelitsha, an informal settlement outside Cape Town, South Africa. She will share the experience of working for MSF when COVID-19 hit, including setting up the first COVID-19 field hospital in the country and how the project adapted to cope with the epidemic.
