Simonetta studied International Relations at the Universidad Central de Venezuela and has an MSc in Public Management from the IESA management school.

Before coming to Oxford Simonetta worked for the British Embassy in Caracas as a Climate Change and Energy Officer around COP21 and worked on project portfolios including improving the oil industry and the management of gas (particularly flaring) climate change legislation and the Embassy’s economic analysis during the still developing national crisis. Simonetta intends to use her studies to serve her country working to embed sustainability in Venezuela’s economic recovery.

Currently, Simonetta is working as a Responsible Investment Analyst in Royal London Asset Management
