Sarani holds a BA in Government from Harvard College. She worked for a year for Sri Lanka’s State Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs, during which time she co-led the writing of the state’s economic policy Outlook Vision 2025.
She was previously a Strategic Transformation Executive for MAS Holdings, one of South Asia’s largest apparel manufacturers. She has also worked as the Grants and Partnerships Manager of the MAS Foundation for Change, a non-profit organisation tackling the social and environmental challenges faced due to biodiversity loss, ocean pollution, and lack of access to clean water. Sarani is now transitioning to a consulting role on an international development project working with the Sri Lankan government.
Sarani is based in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
