Ilan Manor is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Communication Studies of Ben Gurion University of the Negev.

During his DPhil degree at Oxford, his research focuses on the use of digital diplomacy in times of geo-political crises. Manor is a founding member of the Oxford Digital Diplomacy Research Group, a research collective that investigates the manner in which digitalisation has influenced the conduct of diplomacy. Manor has published a series of academic articles relating to digital diplomacy in The Hague Journal of Diplomacy, Global Affairs, Place Branding and Public Diplomacy and The Cambridge Review of International Affairs. His monograph on digital diplomacy was published as part of Brill’s Research Perspective in Diplomacy and Foreign Policy. In addition, Manor has contributed op-eds to the Jerusalem Post and Haaretz Newspapers as well as the websites of Global Policy, the USC Centre on Public Diplomacy and International Affairs.

Ilan is based in Tel Aviv, Israel.
