Gent completed a Master in Public Policy at Oxford in 2013. In 2011, he graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Government and Philosophy from Dartmouth College. Coming from Kosovo, which experienced instability and conflict, Gent developed a deep commitment to contribute to the democratic reform process of his home country. Going back in 2006, he co-founded the European Rails of Peace Project, connecting youth from Bosnia, Kosovo, and Serbia, to build bridges between the different nations.
In 2012, he joined the office of the President of Kosovo as an adviser to support the establishment of an anti-corruption council overseeing institutional processes and guaranteeing a commitment to the rule of law. Following this post, Gent moved on to become an adviser in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Currently, Gent is working as the Senior Rule of Law and Governance Advisor at Checchi and Company Consulting , Inc, Kosovo.
