Amal is a public health professional with hands-on experience in digital health, health strategy formulation and health system reforms. She studied Dentistry at University of Khartoum, Sudan. Her efforts and leadership were instrumental in forwarding the national e-health project in Sudan in 2016 for a more equitable distribution of services across the country. During her assignment as the Director of the Global Health Directorate in the Federal Ministry of Health, she led an innovative young talent acquisition programme, improving the profile of civil service as a career choice in Sudan. She plans to return to Sudan to lead the development of implementable policies regarding health equity and system reform.
