Varun is the founder of Shri Ram Agro Innovatives, a not-for-profit enterprise that works towards promoting sustainable agriculture across India. Since 2016, he has helped more than 12,000 marginalised farmers receive organic certification for their farmlands under India's 'Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana' scheme, in partnership with the National Centre for Organic Farming (NCOF). His organisation conducts training workshops, supplies organic farm inputs, and enables market linkages – boosting farmer incomes and improving livelihoods. Varun is also the founder of Keep Out Of Kitchen, a food processing start-up that manufactures ready-to-eat frozen foods. During his year at Oxford, he hopes to gain a deeper understanding of the systemic complexities of unsustainability and use that knowledge to increase his impact. He has a Bachelor’s in Business Studies degree from the University of Delhi.
