Pratik is currently Associate Director (Research) at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co., a leading Indian law firm.
Before studying at Oxford, Pratik served as a Law Clerk to a sitting judge of the Supreme Court of India and as a Fellow at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy, New Delhi. Pratik worked closely with the Indian government in giving legal shape to the most momentous financial reforms in India. These include drafting the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016; setting up the Monetary Policy Committee; and merger of the Indian commodities and securities regulators. He holds a B.A., LL.B. (Hons) from the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (Kolkata), where he was awarded the PL Khaitan Memorial Gold Medal and the Nani A Palkivala Scholarship by the Chief Justice of India.
