Ishaan is currently working as Education Consultant at UNICEF India. He previously worked as a Policy Advisor to a Member of the Parliament and former Union Minister in India. He also worked as a Development Consultant for the Ministry of Drinking Water & Sanitation - the implementing body of Swachh Bharat Mission-Gramin, the world’s largest exercise in sanitation. He has also worked as a fellow with Teach for India and holds a BA in Economics from the University of Delhi.

Ishaan believes in improved capacities of elected village representatives as the only means to emancipate the rural populace of India and attain the 2030 agenda of Sustainable Development. He wants to take the practice of evidence-based policymaking to India’s grassroots and is committed to working at the intersection of education, rural development, and politics.

Ishaan is currently based in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India.
