Irem is an Electric Vehicle Researcher, for the International Partnerships Programme at the International Council on Clean Transportation working on electric vehicles, charging infrastructure and accelerating the transition to zero-emission vehicles. Previously she was a Senior Research Analyst in Energy Finance and Transportation at the European Climate Foundation and also worked on the Carbon Tracker Initiative. Irem also completed a DPhil in Geography and the Environment at Oxford. Before becoming a Weidenfeld Scholar in 2010, she finished an MA in Political Science and International Relations at Bogazici University, Istanbul.

Irem is currently an Electric Vehicle Researcher in the International Partnerships Programme at The International Council on Clean Transportation and is based in San Francisco, USA.
