Andreana Ayiilaboro Awog-Badek is a medical doctor from Ghana. She obtained her medical degree with honours in 2019 and she currently works at the Tamale Teaching Hospital, Ghana. She is the founder and lead of ‘Foundation For Universal Healthcare,’ a nonprofit which promotes equity of healthcare delivery in Ghana.
Andreana leads her team to provide primary healthcare services in rural areas and underserved communities through free health screening, treatment initiatives, and health literacy programmes. She also works on the Boame Project by UNFPA Ghana, catering to victims of domestic abuse and gender-based violence. Further, through the Boame call centre, she delivers sexual and reproductive health education to adolescents. After her studies at Oxford, Andreana aspires to strengthen the capacity of primary healthcare systems in Ghana and across Africa. Her long-term goal is to help achieve universal health coverage in Ghana.
