After completing her BSc in Bioengineering in 2010, Alexandra undertook an MSc in Biomedical Engineering as a Weidenfeld Scholar.
In 2009, she travelled to Tanzania as part of the Engineering World Health volunteering scheme run by Duke University. Whilst there, her main responsibilities included fixing medical equipment and fostering sustainable development by conducting training sessions with local technicians. She was not only able to apply her technical knowledge but also demonstrated her leadership potential.
Alexandra completed her PhD at the University of Pennsylvania in 2020 and is currently a Resident Physician at Internal Medicine UPMC, based in Pittsburg.
